Timberwork
They are divided into tree basic groups: laths, boards and joists. Furthermore wood is divided into impregnated wood and without impregnation. Impregnation facilitates wood prevention against woodborers and might be implemented by coating, sousing or by pressure impregnation. Under our conditions the most commonly used is impregnation by sousing.
Laths
The most commonly used laths are of following dimensions: 30 x 50, 35 x 50 mm (concrete, burnt, metal) a 40 x 60 mm (Ondusteel), by default of 3 - 5 m length.
Boards
They are used especially on shutter and they are usually not planed (planed to order), dimensions: widths 100 - 140 mm and thickness 24 mm.
Joists
They are used especially on roof bindings, but also on pergola and stands building,.. dimensions are adapting according to the need and building character.
